St Lucia Safari Night Drive
You will be collected early evening at Zulani Guest House by qualified SATOUR approved guides. Enjoy your two to three hour St Lucia Safari Night Drive in open game drive vehicles. On departure Zulani Guest House will provide you with complimentary take-away coffee and blankets to take off the night chill.
You'll discover the magic of the African night on the Eastern Shores of Lake St Lucia. Experience a range of nocturnal wildlife ranging from the huge Hippo, out of the water, down to the smallest chameleons, even the endemic Setara's Dwarf Chameleon. Regular sightings include various antelope, buffalo, bush babies, genets, porcupine and bush pig. You may get to spot the elusive leopard, side-striped jackal, cheetah or even the first elephant to walk the St Lucia Wetland Park in almost a century.
Nocturnal Animals
A Nocturnal animal is one that sleeps during the day and is active at night - the opposite of the human (diurnal) schedule. Examples include African hunting dog, bat, bullfrog, bush baby, firefly, gecko, ghost crab, hippopotamus, hyena, leopard, moth, owl and rat.
